Afghan, North Korean and Palestinian ordinary passports: sponsored Oman tourist eVisa

Oman's Royal Oman Police states that tourists of all nationalities may obtain a sponsored 30-day tourist visa. ROP's eVisa FAQ lists sponsored tourist visas in the eVisa system and confirms electronic delivery after approval.

    • A tourism company licensed to practise tourism activities in Oman must sponsor the tourist application; this is not an unsponsored passport-only entitlement, visa exemption, or visa on arrival.
    • The government service states a 30-day visa, extendable for a similar period. The ROP FAQ identifies sponsored tourist visas as eVisa-system products and says an approved visa is sent electronically to the registered email before travel.
    • The applicant must present a normal passport with at least six months' validity and meet sponsor, application, security, carrier, border-control and final-admission requirements. A submitted or paid application does not guarantee issue.
    • Work, residence, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, emergency, refugee, stateless and other special-document routes remain outside this short-tourist finding.

How to apply

ROP recommends lodging a complete eVisa application at least four days in advance; individual processing times may vary.

  1. Arrange sponsorship through an Oman-licensed tourism company.
  2. Submit the sponsored tourist application through the Royal Oman Police eVisa system with the required normal-passport data and supporting material.
  3. Wait for approval and retain the electronic visa delivered to the registered email before travel.
