One group agreement or destination policy can support many passport relationships. Dates are recorded only when an official source establishes them.

First-list ordinary passports: 14-day Oman visa exemption

The named first-list nationalities may enter Oman without an entry visa for a short stay of up to 14 days, subject to the published visitor conditions.

    • The traveller must hold a passport valid for at least six months, a return ticket, confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, and sufficient funds for the stay.
    • The stay is limited to 14 days and cannot be extended or converted to a residence visa.
    • CN is limited to the Ministry’s China entry, which expressly includes Hong Kong and Macau; HK and MO represent only those named special-administrative-region entries, not a PRC travel document or another special document.
    • The published accompanying spouse and children facility is not a passport-nationality-wide rule for an unaccompanied traveller, and is not modelled as separate passport access.
    • This policy does not establish work, residence, sponsored visit, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, emergency, refugee, stateless, or other special-document treatment. Entry remains subject to border admission.

Second-list ordinary passports: conditional 14-day Oman visa exemption

The named second-list nationalities may use Oman’s 14-day visa exemption only when the stated third-country-visa/residence or GCC-resident-profession condition is met.

    • The traveller must meet the same passport-validity, return-ticket, confirmed-hotel, health-insurance, and sufficient-funds conditions as the general 14-day exemption.
    • The national must either be a resident of, or hold a valid entry visa for, the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, or a Schengen country; alternatively, the national may be a GCC resident in a qualifying resident-visa profession.
    • The stay is limited to 14 days and cannot be extended or transferred to a residence visa.
    • This is not unconditional visa-free access. It does not establish a nationality-wide eVisa, visa-on-arrival, employment, residence, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, or special-document route.

    GCC citizens: Oman visa-free entry

Citizens of the named Gulf Cooperation Council states do not require visas to enter Oman.

    • This policy follows the Foreign Ministry’s GCC-citizen rule and does not state a maximum visitor stay, an employment entitlement, or treatment of GCC residents who are not GCC citizens.
    • GCC residents of another nationality are instead subject to the separate conditional exemption’s qualifying-profession rule.
    • Diplomatic, official, service, special, emergency, travel-document, residence, work, purpose, and individual-admission requirements are not established by this ordinary-passport classification.

Mexican ordinary passports: Oman electronic visitor visa

Ordinary Mexican passport holders can use Oman's electronically issued tourist visa when they do not meet the conditional 14-day exemption.

    • Apply for the ordinary tourist visa through Royal Oman Police before travel; the separate 14-day exemption depends on qualifying residence or a third-country visa.

Ordinary passports: sponsored electronic tourist visa

Oman's Royal Oman Police offers tourists of all nationalities a sponsored 30-day tourist visa. The authority classifies sponsored tourist visas within its eVisa system and sends approved visas electronically before travel.

    • A tourism company licensed in Oman must sponsor the application. This is not an unsponsored eVisa entitlement, visa exemption, visa on arrival, or ETA.
    • The tourist visa is valid for 30 days and may be extended for a similar period. The application must be approved before travel; an approved electronic visa is sent to the registered email address.
    • Use a valid ordinary passport and meet the sponsor, application, payment, supporting-document, carrier, border-control, and final-admission requirements. Work, residence, transit, diplomatic, official, emergency, refugee, stateless, and other special-document treatment remain outside this policy.
    • Afghanistan, DPRK, and Palestine remain outside this batch under the project's conservative direct-evidence rule. Taiwan remains outside because current Omani authority lists diverge on its visa-free treatment.
