    United Kingdom and European Union ordinary passports: visa exemption

    The Foreign Ministry's current visa instructions expressly say that United Kingdom passport holders and European Union member-country holders do not require visas to visit Trinidad and Tobago.

    • The instructions do not provide a shared visitor-stay duration or establish employment, residence, transit, diplomatic, official, emergency, refugee, or other special-document treatment.
    • Ireland and the United Kingdom also appear on Immigration's current visa-exempt-country list; this policy includes each code once as the explicit UK/EU group.
    • From 17 March 2026, all persons entering or leaving Trinidad and Tobago must complete the free online Arrival/Departure Card before travel (up to 72 hours) and present its QR-code receipt. This is a travel declaration, not a visa, ETA, or entry guarantee.
