Residual ordinary passports may obtain a visa at São Tomé airport
The current government visitor guidance permits visa-liable travellers to use consular or online issuance and, when online issuance is unavailable, obtain the visa from Migration and Borders at São Tomé airport upon arrival.
- This policy covers the visa-liable short-visitor residual after the separately supported unconditional visa-exemption cohorts are excluded.
- The government page also grants a separate 15-day exemption to other nationalities holding both a passport valid for more than three months and a valid Schengen or United States visa; that document-conditioned route is not generalized here.
- The traveller may use a São Tomé and Príncipe embassy or consulate or the online process; if online issuance cannot be obtained, the page permits issuance by Migration and Borders at São Tomé airport upon arrival.
- A return ticket, sufficient means stated as EUR 100 per day, applicable yellow-fever requirements, document validity and final border admission remain required.
