Other ordinary foreign passports: 30-day tourist visa on arrival
Palau's Immigration Division says a tourist visa may be issued on arrival to short-term genuine visitors; this explicitly bounded complement excludes every stated visa-waiver, pre-clearance, and advance-visa cohort.
- The visitor must genuinely intend tourism, leisure, or a social visit and must not perform work. The initial tourist visa is 30 days and may be extended twice for 30 days each by applying at least seven days before expiry.
- The traveller needs a passport valid at least six months, an onward or return ticket unless exempt, sufficient funds, and any other travel evidence or circumstances acceptable to the Director. Visa issuance and border admission remain discretionary.
- Business, work, student, missionary, foreign-government/international-organization, resident, investor, dependent, diplomatic, crew, transit, emergency, refugee, stateless, official, service, and other special-document arrangements are separate and not established by this ordinary tourist classification.
- Diplomats recognized by the Ministry of State and their families, and holders of a Presidential or Director exemption letter, have separate visa and onward-ticket exceptions.
- All arriving passengers must have a valid passport or travel document, submit the Palau Entry Form no more than 72 hours before departure, and present its QR code at check-in and arrival.
