Brazilian ordinary passports: reciprocal short-stay visa-free access
Brazil’s Foreign Ministry treaty record identifies the reciprocal ordinary-passport short-stay waiver with Saint Lucia as in force from 14 January 2024. It is easier than the older Schedule 2 arrival-visa entry.
- The bilateral instrument is limited to holders of ordinary passports and is recorded by Brazil’s Foreign Ministry as in force from 14 January 2024.
- The reviewed treaty record does not state a duration, purpose, paid-activity, admission, document or route rule; the agreement and Saint Lucian immigration controls still govern those details.
- Schedule 2 still lists Brazil for a visa that may be issued on arrival. The later in-force reciprocal waiver is used as the easier route; the unreconciled domestic schedule is a material recheck risk.
- This is not a citizenship, residence, work, study, transit, crew, diplomatic, official/service, special-document or individual-admissibility rule.
