One group agreement or destination policy can support many passport relationships. Dates are recorded only when an official source establishes them.

  1. Current official routeVisa-free

Guatemala: named Category A ordinary passports visa-free

MINEX’s current ordinary-passport classification expressly marks these nationalities Category A, exempt from the Guatemalan visa requirement. The duplicate Andorra Category A/Category B entries are not normalized and remain unresolved.

    • Category A travellers enter with a valid passport, but border admission remains subject to immigration control and applicable bilateral or multilateral arrangements.
    • The source provides no nationality-wide short-stay duration, port, fee, return/onward travel, funds, accommodation, health, extension or admissibility rule for this policy; none is inferred.
    • This ordinary-passport baseline excludes residence, work, study, family, business-only, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, stateless and other special-document routes.
    • The Category A row for the United Kingdom includes passport-wording conditions affecting British passports connected to Hong Kong. It does not directly establish the catalog’s HKSAR passport row.

  2. Current official routeVisa required

Guatemala: named Category B ordinary passports require advance consular visa

MINEX’s current ordinary-passport schedule expressly marks these nationalities Category B (visa consular). IGM says Category B applicants use the nearest Guatemalan embassy; the normalized baseline is visa_required, not eVisa or visa on arrival.

    • A Category B tourist/traveller visa is an advance mission-consular process. IGM lists a form, valid passport, photographs, travel reservation, financial evidence, international credit card and proof of payment.
    • The official classification carries a conditional Category B exception for holders of a valid United States, Mexican, Canadian or Schengen visa. It depends on a third-country visa and is not a nationality-wide access policy.
    • Passport validity, visa grant, duration, entries, fee, extension, port, onward travel, funds and final admission remain individual or process-specific unless the authority expressly determines them.
    • Residence, work, study, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, stateless and other special-document cases are excluded.

  3. Current official routeVisa required

Guatemala: named Category C ordinary passports require advance consulted visa

MINEX’s current ordinary-passport schedule expressly marks these nationalities Category C (visa consultada). IGM says a Guatemalan guarantor processes it directly at IGM; the normalized baseline is visa_required, not eVisa or visa on arrival.

    • The Category C tourist process requires advance consultation at IGM and ordinarily a form, valid passport, passport-validity certification, police/criminal-record evidence, transport ticket or Guatemalan guarantor, and payment.
    • IGM’s current FAQ says the United States, Mexican, Canadian or Schengen visa exception applies to Category B; Category C nationals must still obtain a Guatemalan visa. Other family, residence or document-conditioned category changes are not nationality-wide baselines.
    • Passport validity, visa grant, duration, entries, fee, extension, port, onward travel, funds, sponsor and final admission remain case-specific unless directly determined.
    • Residence, work, study, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, stateless and other special-document cases are excluded.

  4. Current official routeCitizenship

Guatemalan citizens cannot be denied entry and do not require a visa

Article 26 of Guatemala’s current Constitution directly prohibits denying a Guatemalan entry to the national territory and states that Guatemalans may enter without a visa.

    • This policy records the direct constitutional entry right for the same-country passport relationship; passport issuance, identification, border processing and exceptional legal controls remain separate matters.
