How this access rule is documented

  1. Current official routeVisa required

Guatemala: named Category C ordinary passports require advance consulted visa

MINEX’s current ordinary-passport schedule expressly marks these nationalities Category C (visa consultada). IGM says a Guatemalan guarantor processes it directly at IGM; the normalized baseline is visa_required, not eVisa or visa on arrival.

    • The Category C tourist process requires advance consultation at IGM and ordinarily a form, valid passport, passport-validity certification, police/criminal-record evidence, transport ticket or Guatemalan guarantor, and payment.
    • IGM’s current FAQ says the United States, Mexican, Canadian or Schengen visa exception applies to Category B; Category C nationals must still obtain a Guatemalan visa. Other family, residence or document-conditioned category changes are not nationality-wide baselines.
    • Passport validity, visa grant, duration, entries, fee, extension, port, onward travel, funds, sponsor and final admission remain case-specific unless directly determined.
    • Residence, work, study, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, stateless and other special-document cases are excluded.
