    France-Visas and the Interior Ministry directly exempt EU, EEA and Swiss citizens from overseas visas. FR is visa_free, not citizenship: GF, FW, YT and RE are territorial destination codes rather than France itself.

    • Ordinary passport held as a citizen of the listed EU, EEA or Swiss state, for a visitor stay up to 90 days.
    • This does not normalize residence, work, family-member residence cards, identity-document alternatives, transit, special passports or final admission.
    • All four catalog destinations are outside Schengen; the classification follows free-movement rights rather than a Schengen visa.

    The current DROM Annex II schedule directly waives the Réunion visitor visa for this ordinary-passport cohort. The listed work exceptions and document-qualified routes are retained as conditions.

    • Short visitor stay up to 90 days in 180 days. The work-authorisation exceptions for Australia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Singapore, the United States and Venezuela do not apply to ordinary tourism or family visits.
    • Hong Kong and Macao are SAR passport entries only, not a PRC ordinary-passport rule.
    • The schedule's passport-specific, French multi-entry-visa, residence-permit, cruise, transit, diplomatic, service, special-document and final-admission rules remain separate.

    Other Réunion ordinary passports: advance territory visa required

    The current DROM order requires a valid territory-specific visa unless an Annex II nationality exemption applies. This covers the ordinary-passport baseline after direct waivers and genuinely unresolved biometric rows are removed.

    • A valid visa must cover Réunion; a Schengen visa alone does not authorize the territory. France-Visas' online workflow is application filing, not eVisa issuance.
    • French multi-entry-visa, residence-permit, long-stay visa, agency package, cruise, transit, crew, special/diplomatic/service passport and individual-admission exceptions remain conditional and do not change this ordinary-passport baseline.
    • Georgia's former Annex II exemption was removed effective June 2025. Vanuatu's waiver is restricted to pre-25-May-2015 ordinary passports, so it cannot establish a current unqualified ordinary-passport exemption.
