    German ordinary passports: Palestinian Territories access via Israeli ETA

    The Federal Foreign Office treats access to the Palestinian Territories through Israeli-controlled entry as requiring ETA-IL for otherwise visa-exempt German visitors.

    • An ETA-IL confirmation is required before entry to Israel and is checked by airlines before departure; ordinary German nationals need no visa for stays of up to three months.
    • This does not establish a Palestinian Authority visa, access to Gaza, permit requirements, checkpoint opening, Palestinian-ID-holder treatment or final admission.

  1. Apply online before travel using the German ordinary passport to be used for entry.
  2. Carry the approval and comply with Israeli carrier, checkpoint and final-admission rules.
