    United States Visa Waiver Program requires ESTA

    The listed VWP nationalities need valid ESTA approval for qualifying short tourism, business, or transit travel without a visa.

    • The traveller must hold an ICAO-compliant ePassport and obtain valid ESTA approval before travel.
    • Qualifying business, tourism, or transit stays are limited to 90 days; work, permanent residence, and several other purposes require a visa.
    • British and Taiwan passport qualification, carrier rules, certain travel histories, and specified dual nationalities can require a visa instead.
    • ESTA approval does not guarantee admission.

  2. Request ESTA on the official CBP website before travel.
  3. Travel with the same ePassport linked to the valid approval.
