Named ordinary passports: visa-free holiday visitors
The current MHAISS Visa Fact Sheet expressly places this all-passport cohort on its holiday visa-exemption list under the 1 April 2025 reciprocity framework.
- The fact sheet describes this as holiday travel and lists all passport types; this policy only normalizes the catalog's ordinary passports. It establishes neither work, residence, business-only, study, transit, diplomatic, official, service, refugee nor other special-document treatment.
- A visitor permit issued at entry may not exceed 90 days in a calendar year. The FAQ requires a valid passport (normally six months; two clean pages for the general tourist list), accommodation or invitation evidence, funds, itinerary/onward evidence, insurance and any child documents; admission remains discretionary.
- The online Visa-on-Arrival portal may offer a voluntary application to an otherwise exempt traveller. It is not a required ETA or visa and does not displace this direct exemption.
