Listed foreign nationalities: advance visa required
Portal Único's current compulsory-visa schedule says these citizens must obtain a visa at the nearest Cabo Verde embassy or consular post before travelling. The official materials do not establish a nationality-wide visa-on-arrival or eVisa route for this cohort.
- Obtain the entry visa before travel at the nearest Cabo Verde embassy or consular post, then pre-register on EASE and, where applicable, pay TSA up to five days before arrival.
- The consular FAQ says visa applications use an internet platform and may exceptionally be made at embassies, consular posts or in Cabo Verde with a surcharge. That generic processing statement does not prove that every listed nationality receives an eVisa, so the classification is not evisa.
- The consular portal's frontier-visa statement is limited to citizens resident in countries where Cabo Verde has no diplomatic representation; it is not a nationality-wide visa-on-arrival rule for this policy cohort.
- Tourism visas cover recreation and cruises, are to be used within 60 days of grant, permit 90 days and may be extended up to an equal period. Transit visas are distinct, last four days and may be extended once. Official, diplomatic, courtesy, temporary and residence visas have separate purpose and duration rules.
- This policy does not override valid-residence, free-movement/agreement, laissez-passer, foreign-mission/organization staff, refugee-travel-document, natural-born Cabo Verdean family, diplomatic/official, transit, work, study or residence exceptions.
