Article Eight: named ordinary passports receive tourist visa at border
Article Eight expressly grants a one-month visa, extendable to three months, to the named tourists at entry when its ticket, accommodation/contact and funds conditions are met. It is normalized as visa_on_arrival.
- A round-trip airline ticket, hotel reservation or residential address and telephone number, and USD 2,000 (or an equivalent certified bank cheque) are required. Holders of a visa granted abroad by Lebanese missions or General Security are exempt from those stated documents.
- Jordan is also named in Article Eight but remains in the separate GCC/Jordan policy, which already establishes its border-visa route.
- Egypt and Ghana are excluded from this nationality-only policy because Article Ten imposes prior General Security authorization for female tourists from those countries; the page does not state a single gender-neutral route.
- Purpose, admission, security, passport/document, residence, work, transit, extension and special-document conditions remain applicable.
