    GCC and Jordanian ordinary passports: tourist visa at border

    General Security says a free three-month Jordanian or six-month GCC visa is stamped at passport or other border posts for tourism.

    • The source simultaneously calls GCC and Jordanian tourists exempt from entry visas but expressly says the three- or six-month visa is stamped and granted at border posts. This is normalized as visa_on_arrival, not visa_free.
    • Jordanian travellers need a passport with a national number. The stated periods can be extended up to one year by General Security.
    • Companion, domestic-worker, driver, bodyguard, family, professional, residence, national-ID, and land-driver provisions are conditional and do not establish an ordinary foreign-passport exemption outside the named cohort.

    Named ordinary passports: automatic one-month tourist visa

    General Security named tourism schedule grants these ordinary-passport nationalities a free one-month visa, extendable to three months; Turkey has a separately stated airport/border tourist visa.

    • The core named schedule grants a cost-free one-month tourist visa, extendable to three months; General Security distinguishes immediate from anticipated and consular issuance. Turkey is expressly a free multiple-entry three-month visa at airport and border posts.
    • Passport/document exceptions are not ordinary-passport rules: emergency passports, Ukraine child travel documents, Poland temporary passports, travel passes, Palestinian passports, refugee/alien documents, diplomatic/official/service passports, domestic workers, artists, and women in specified professions have separate conditions or prior approval.
    • Purpose, address notification, passport validity, funds, ticket, accommodation, age/sex, profession, residence, prior visit, security, work, study, transit, extension, and admissibility conditions remain applicable.
    • Iraq is retained as unresolved: Article Two gives a broad automatic tourist rule, while the later Article Eight describes automatic Iraqi visas only for named trader, doctor and engineer categories. The current page does not reconcile those scopes.

    Article Eight: named ordinary passports receive tourist visa at border

    Article Eight expressly grants a one-month visa, extendable to three months, to the named tourists at entry when its ticket, accommodation/contact and funds conditions are met. It is normalized as visa_on_arrival.

    • A round-trip airline ticket, hotel reservation or residential address and telephone number, and USD 2,000 (or an equivalent certified bank cheque) are required. Holders of a visa granted abroad by Lebanese missions or General Security are exempt from those stated documents.
    • Jordan is also named in Article Eight but remains in the separate GCC/Jordan policy, which already establishes its border-visa route.
    • Egypt and Ghana are excluded from this nationality-only policy because Article Ten imposes prior General Security authorization for female tourists from those countries; the page does not state a single gender-neutral route.
    • Purpose, admission, security, passport/document, residence, work, transit, extension and special-document conditions remain applicable.

    Other ordinary foreign passports: embassy visa or prior General Security approval

    For countries not otherwise mentioned in its visa rules, General Security expressly requires an embassy visa or prior General Security authorisation; country-specific labour and other rules likewise require prior authorisation.

    • This explicit default excludes Lebanese citizenship, the Israel taxonomy-gap case, the GCC/Jordan border-visa cohort, the separately named automatic-tourism cohort, the Article Eight border-visa cohort, and the Egypt/Ghana/Iraq nationality-only ambiguities.
    • General Security labour-supplying-country rules require prior authorisation for named nationalities. Separate rules may offer conditional tourist, trader, doctor, engineer, business, GCC-resident, group, medical, conference, transit, diplomatic, official, service, work, student, or family routes; these do not alter the ordinary passport-only default.
    • Embassy applications require a passport valid at least six months, application, accommodation or invitation, return reservation, financial capability, profession evidence, and possibly residence evidence. General Security can request additional documents and the published procedure advises applying at least one month ahead.
    • Do not infer an eVisa from administrative processing. The source does not establish a generic self-service electronic visa.
