Why no single status is shown

route dependent

Niger visa issuance depends on residence-country mission availability

Visa-liable visitors normally obtain a Nigerien visa through the mission serving their residence, but may exceptionally receive an authorized visa at the entry point when departing from a country without a Nigerien mission.

Possible routes: Visa on arrival · Visa required

  • The normal route is application through the Nigerien diplomatic or consular mission serving the applicant's place of residence.
  • When the traveller departs from a country without a Nigerien mission, point-of-entry issuance is exceptional and requires prior authorization from the Interior Minister.
  • Bilateral and community exemptions remain separate exact policies and are excluded from this visa-liable cohort.
  • The issuance route depends on residence, mission availability and prior approval rather than passport nationality alone, so it does not change ranking status.
