    ECOWAS transitional visa-free movement for Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger

    Although Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger withdrew from ECOWAS, its current official transition statement directs all ECOWAS member-state authorities to continue visa-free movement for their citizens until further notice.

    • The ECOWAS instruction is expressly temporary: it applies until further notice.
    • The Gambia is a current ECOWAS Member State and is within the authorities addressed by the instruction.
    • This is limited to the ordinary visitor-access baseline; other admission conditions remain outside scope.
