    Mexican visitors require a B-1/B-2 visa or Border Crossing Card

    Mexican citizens seeking ordinary visitor admission generally need a nonimmigrant visa; the Border Crossing Card is a combined B-1/B-2 visa document.

    • The Border Crossing Card is a visitor visa, not a visa-free entitlement.
    • It is issued only to qualifying citizens who reside in Mexico, with separate rules governing ports, documents, distance, and stay.
    • Crew, official-passport, and special-document provisions remain outside this ordinary-passport visitor policy.
