New Zealand valid passports: temporary-visitor visa waiver
The current in-force New Zealand–Tuvalu agreement expressly allows New Zealand citizens holding valid New Zealand passports to enter Tuvalu as temporary visitors without a visa for stays not exceeding three months.
- The agreement is modeled only for a New Zealand ordinary passport held by a New Zealand citizen; it does not extend to Cook Islands, Niue or Tokelau territorial treatment.
- The rule is limited to temporary visitors for an intended stay not exceeding three months; it includes business visitors but excludes intended employment, profession or occupation.
- The agreement preserves Tuvalu's entry, residence and other immigration requirements, individual refusal and temporary suspension for public order, health or security.
