    Current GID-listed and reconciled ordinary passports: visitor visa exemption

    The current GID table expressly lists 17 catalog passports with visa-exemption agreements and 11 ECOWAS states with free entry. The January 2025 central Government page additionally supports Cyprus, Denmark, Ireland and Latvia, which the newer GID table does not classify. This yields 32 supported foreign catalog passports; its conflicting visa/clearance rows do not establish a further route.

    • The GID page’s dated country entries support the 17 agreement-listed catalog codes and 11 current ECOWAS codes. Cyprus, Denmark, Ireland and Latvia are retained only because the central Government page expressly places all EU members in its waiver category and GID gives none of those four a contrary country row.
    • The waiver is modelled for ordinary nationality passports only. It does not establish British Overseas Territories, Crown Dependencies, Hong Kong, Macao, refugee, stateless, emergency, diplomatic, official, service, UN, residence or other special-document treatment.
    • The GID exemption and ECOWAS rows do not publish an exemption-stay period. The January 2025 central Government page describes the waiver visitor context as holiday or business not exceeding 90 days; duration, passport validity, yellow-fever evidence where applicable, screening, funds/onward travel, security and final admission remain subject to GID control.
    • The current GID table (modified 31 October 2025) puts many other EU or Commonwealth passports in visa and/or clearance groups, while the central page says the broad categories are exempt. Those incompatible scopes are deliberately unresolved; a clearance label is not normalized as visa on arrival, eVisa or a nationality-wide advance-visa rule.

    Current EU, Commonwealth and ECOWAS ordinary-passport short-visit exemption

    The central Government's current visitor page expressly exempts United Kingdom, full EU, Commonwealth and ECOWAS citizens for holiday or business visits not exceeding 90 days. This later central guidance resolves contrary rows in GID's older nationality table.

    • Only holiday or business visits not exceeding 90 days are within this policy.
    • The cited central guidance describes citizens; this candidate normalizes the ordinary-passport visitor baseline only.
    • Employment, residence, transit, health, security and admission-screening requirements are outside this baseline.
    • This current central guidance supersedes only the table rows that directly contradict its named membership categories.
