EU ordinary passports: visa-free visitor access via Italy

San Marino has no separate entry visa for a visitor who is compliant with Schengen access through Italy. Union citizens do not need an entry visa for that access leg.

    • This records the ordinary-passport short-visitor route via Italy, not membership of San Marino in Schengen.
    • San Marino Foreign Affairs says a stay exceeding 30 days requires a stay permit or residence. Carry a valid passport or equivalent identity document.
    • No San Marino eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival is established.
