Russian ordinary passports: current visa-free entry under the bilateral agreement

The Russian Foreign Ministry's current consular table states that Russian citizens enter Botswana visa-free for up to 90 days and links the 2019 bilateral agreement on mutual abolition of visa requirements for citizens. Botswana's current Government guidance confirms that nationals covered by a visa-abolition agreement do not require a visa.

    • The Russian Foreign Ministry table states visa-free entry for Russian citizens for up to 90 days. It separately distinguishes the older diplomatic-and-service-passport agreement from the 2019 agreement covering citizens.
    • The sources do not establish work, residence, diplomatic, official, service, special-document, or individual-admissibility treatment.
    • Botswana's current visitor guidance states a maximum stay of 90 days in each calendar year; ordinary passport validity and other border conditions remain applicable.
