    Rwandan ordinary passports: visa-free under the current bilateral abolition agreement

    Botswana's Government states that the Rwanda visa-abolition agreement took immediate effect on 6 May 2026 and that Botswana was implementing it. This current destination-government rule supersedes the older eVisa classification.

    • The source establishes visa abolition for Rwandan citizens; it does not establish work, residence, diplomatic, official, service, special-document, or individual-admissibility treatment.
    • Botswana's current visitor guidance states a maximum stay of 90 days in each calendar year; ordinary passport validity and other border conditions remain applicable.
