How this access rule is documented

  1. Current official routeETA

Listed passports qualify for Australia's ETA

These passport holders can use the Electronic Travel Authority subclass 601 for qualifying visitor travel.

    • The traveller must hold a valid eligible passport and be outside Australia when applying and when the ETA is granted.
    • Taiwan official and diplomatic passports are excluded; British document status and other non-citizen documents have separate conditions.
    • Visitor stays are generally limited to three months per entry during the ETA's 12-month validity.
    • Criminal history can require a Visitor visa subclass 600 instead, and grant does not guarantee entry.
