South African ordinary passports: visa-free short visits

The current SMF waiver notice states that South African ordinary-passport holders are visa-exempt for stays of up to 90 days.

    • The notice expressly limits this 90-day agreement entry to ordinary passports; it says separate diplomatic/service agreements were approved in November 2024.
    • The result is a visitor nationality baseline only and remains subject to passport validity, funds, return/onward evidence, border checks and final admission.
