CPLP, EU, United States and Canada ordinary passports: visa-free entry
Article 25(1)(e) of the published foreign-citizens regime exempts citizens of current CPLP and EU members, the United States and Canada from a visa. This policy maps only the ordinary-passport component of those citizenship categories.
- Law No. 5/2015 names the citizenship groups but does not state an ordinary-passport document subtype, a visitor purpose, or a per-nationality stay period. The current Foreign Ministry brief says waivers are generally 15 days and sometimes 30 or 90 days, but supplies no country-to-duration crosswalk; no duration is asserted here.
- A valid recognized travel document, border examination, financial means, accommodation, return/onward evidence, health requirements, security checks and individual admission remain separate. The law and brief do not establish work, residence, study, business-only, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, emergency, stateless or other special-document treatment.
