Other ordinary passports: Tourist Card without consular visa
DGII expressly provides that nationals not in its named visa-required list enter with a Tourist Card. The card permits tourism without a consular visa; it is an entry tax/formality, not an ETA or visa on arrival.
- Tourist purposes only; DGII states the Tourist Card gives a maximum 30-day stay, with extension administered by DGM. A person who undertakes lucrative activity loses its use and must hold the suitable visa.
- The Tourist Card is a US$10 entry tax/formality, included in airline tickets issued outside the Dominican Republic for air arrivals; it may be purchased at land or sea points. It is not an electronic travel authorization, eVisa, or a visa issued at the border.
- The DGM e-Ticket is a separate mandatory online entry-and-exit declaration for every passenger, not an ETA or visa. Passport validity, return/onward travel, border screening and admission remain applicable.
- HK and MO represent only the ordinary Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR passport routes respectively; this policy does not establish a route for other PRC, SAR, diplomatic, official, service or special travel documents.
- South Sudan is excluded because the DGII residual rule conflicts with the live MIREX ordinary-passport selector. Latvia, Romania and Samoa are separately excluded because the DGII named list and live MIREX selector conflict. This policy does not establish citizenship, residence, business, work, study, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, border-card, refugee, stateless, emergency or other special-document treatment.
