Other foreign ordinary passports: Cameroon online advance visa approval
Cameroon’s official Ministry and Prime Minister sources establish a compulsory online visa-file process for users travelling to Cameroon. MINREX says approval produces an online visa-issuance authorisation with a QR code before travel; the physical visa is then affixed at the border or competent mission. This is electronic advance approval, not an airport visa application or an ETA.
- Apply through the official evisacam.cm portal before travel: create an account, enter the application, upload supporting documents, pay online and await processing by the competent diplomatic mission or consular post.
- For applicants distant from a competent post, MINREX says the online QR-code visa-issuance authorisation permits travel and the visa is affixed at the entry border post. Applicants near the competent post may instead attend biometric enrolment. In both cases, approval precedes travel; the border step does not make this visa_on_arrival.
- MINREX indicates normal processing within 72 hours after preregistration and express processing within 24 hours, but issuance is discretionary and individual documentary, health, security and admission requirements remain applicable.
- The short-stay visa may serve temporary visitors travelling as tourists or businesspersons and cannot exceed six months. Work, study, residence, transit, family, diplomatic, official, service, courtesy, refugee and other special-document cases are separate.
- The current review found no ordinary-passport nationality-wide arrival-visa cohort. The airport/border affixing mechanism is conditional on an approved online authorisation.
