Named ordinary passports: arrival-issued visitor waiver or visa
The current Qatar Tourism passport wizard places these nationalities in arrival-entry paths. Although Qatar Tourism now calls the former free visa-on-arrival route “visa-free”, MOI describes on-arrival visas and passport stickers; this operational category is normalized as visa_on_arrival.
- Passport-level routes vary: some are free arrival waivers, while IR, MU, ME, TW, PK, TH and UA are displayed with paid and/or Discover Qatar hotel-reservation arrival routes. Hayya A1/A2/A3 may be an advance alternative where the wizard says so; optional online processing does not replace an available arrival status.
- Current MOI guidance requires a passport valid at least three months, onward/return ticket and compulsory health insurance for on-arrival visitors; particular routes also require a hotel booking, Discover Qatar booking, cash/card or fees. Check the live selector for the exact passport route and duration.
- The older MOI 90-day schedule publishes six-month passport validity, onward ticket and a passport sticker; its duration lists do not exactly match the current Qatar Tourism selector. Treat the individual live selector and border decision as controlling.
- A residence in GCC, or residence/valid visa in Schengen, UK, US, Australia, New Zealand or Canada, can create distinct document-conditioned A2/A3 routes. It is not a nationality-wide rule. Transit, Qatar-Oman joint visas, employment, residence, diplomatic/official, temporary travel documents and special cases are separate.
