    Vietnam ordinary passports: airport-only 30-day tourist visa waiver

    The official eVisa notice waives a tourist visa for Vietnamese ordinary passports for 30 days when both entry and departure use the three named international airports.

    • Applies to tourist visits of up to 30 days only, effective under the notice from 1 September 2022.
    • Entry and departure must be through Yangon, Mandalay, or Nay Pyi Taw international airports; the notice does not extend this waiver to land or sea routes.
    • The current MFA bilateral schedule also records a 30-day ordinary-passport exemption.
    • It does not establish work, residence, study, transit, crew, diplomatic/official/special-document, restricted-area, security, or individual-admissibility treatment.
