    Canadian ordinary passports: Republic of Congo advance visitor visa

    Canada's current guidance requires an ordinary Canadian traveller to obtain the Republic of the Congo visa from its Ottawa embassy before departure and excludes port-of-entry issuance.

    • Obtain the visa from the Embassy of the Republic of the Congo in Ottawa before leaving Canada. The source expressly says it cannot be obtained at a port of entry or at another Congo mission.
    • Residence, work, study, transit, special documents, carrier checks and final admission remain separate.
