ECOWAS ordinary passports: Nigeria short-visit visa exemption

The current NIS landing-card portal labels ECOWAS passports Visa Free / Exemption, while the operative ECOWAS Protocol removes visa requirements for Community citizens visiting a Member State through an official entry point for up to 90 days. This policy maps the catalog's foreign ECOWAS ordinary passports.

    • The Protocol requires a valid travel document and international health certificate, limits the baseline visit to 90 days, and permits Nigeria to refuse admission to an inadmissible immigrant. It does not eliminate all border, health, security or documentary checks.
    • Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger formally withdrew from ECOWAS on 29 January 2025. ECOWAS's current transition notice expressly continues their visa-free movement, residence and establishment rights until further notice; their status must be rechecked if that notice changes.
    • This maps only ordinary passports for short visitor movement. It does not normalize ECOWAS travel certificates, residence or establishment rights, employment, transit, diplomatic, official, service, refugee or other special-document routes.
    • The Landing and Exit Card is an immigration declaration workflow, not an ETA or a visa. Completing it does not change this exemption.

German ordinary passports: named electronic visitor-visa routes

Official guidance identifies an electronic visa issued before travel for the listed German ordinary-passport visitor routes.

    • IQ: federal Iraq ended visa-on-arrival issuance on 1 March 2025 and requires an e-visa before entry; Kurdistan has a distinct e-visa process. CU: the Cuban official tourism portal describes the internet tourist visa replacing the tourist card. GA: the temporary e-visa procedure is only for tourists. GQ: for air entry, an online e-visa is required; land entry requires mission processing. NG: since May 2025 only electronic visas are used, delivered with a QR code by email. TD: the entry visa must be applied for online at least seven days before travel.
    • This excludes separate non-tourist visa categories, route-specific limits, health forms, registration and final admission.

French ordinary passports: named advance visa routes

Current official material establishes advance mission processing or issuance for each listed French ordinary-passport visitor route.

    • AF: single-entry visas are issued by Afghanistan’s Embassy in France. KP: visa available through the DPRK General Delegation in France. LY: visa before arrival. SD: prior visa. SY: Syrian diplomatic or consular representation issues the visa. CG: obtain before departure; no arrival visa. SS: airlines may refuse boarding without a pre-departure visa and France-based applicants use the Paris embassy. CF: the CAR Paris Embassy processes the passport and short-stay application. GQ: no arrival visa and the Paris embassy states required documents. GW: French applications go to the Guinea-Bissau Embassy in Paris; its exceptional Bissau-airport route is not the standard France-resident route. LR: France residents apply through the Liberian Embassy. ML: Mali consulates in Paris or Lyon issue it; no arrival visa. NE: prior visa only; no arrival visa. NG: portal submission is followed by physical dossier submission to OIS Paris for processing. TD: diplomatic or consular mission issuance only; no border visa.
    • This records ordinary French-passport short-visitor routes only and does not normalize travel warnings, operational access, work, residence, special documents or final admission.

    • IQ Kurdistan-region procedures and Erbil airport issuance are distinct from the federal-Iraq eVisa baseline. Route-specific purpose, passport, preapproval, document, health, carrier and final-admission conditions remain applicable.

    • Appendix I of Nigeria Immigration Service's current service-level agreement directly lists paid Argentine single-entry, multiple-entry, TWP and STR visa fees. Together with the F5A all-country rule, this establishes that Argentina is not among the visa-waiver exceptions.
    • Apply online with a valid ordinary Argentine passport and F5A tourism documents. The visa is single entry, valid for 90 days from issuance, and permits a stay of up to 30 days.
    • The emailed visa certificate is electronic issuance before travel, not online preapproval followed by border issuance. Diplomatic, official, special, refugee, stateless and exceptional-foreigner documents, work, residence, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.

Azerbaijani ordinary passports: Nigeria tourism eVisa

Nigeria Immigration Service's current F5A tourism service routes eligible Azerbaijan-passport applicants through electronic issuance and lists Azerbaijan's payable single-entry fee.

    • Use the ordinary Azerbaijani passport issued to a citizen for travel abroad. F5A is tourism only, single entry and up to 30 days.
    • Apply online, upload documents and pay. The emailed certificate is electronic issuance before travel, not online preapproval followed by border issuance.
    • Although F5A excepts ECOWAS States and countries with visa-waiver agreements, Appendix I expressly assigns Azerbaijan a payable $78 single-entry fee, establishing that this ordinary-passport route is not waived.

Belarusian ordinary passports: Nigeria tourism eVisa

Nigeria Immigration Service's current F5A tourism service covers Belarus, issues the visa certificate by email before travel, and separately assigns Belarus a payable single-entry fee.

    • Use a Belarusian ordinary/biometric citizen passport. The issuer's current Government page distinguishes that citizen passport from diplomatic and service passports.
    • F5A is tourism only, single entry and up to 30 days. Apply online, upload the stated documents and pay before travel; the visa certificate is sent by email, so this is electronic issuance rather than an arrival visa.
    • F5A generally excepts ECOWAS States and countries with visa-abolition/waiver agreements. Belarus is not an ECOWAS State, and Appendix I's payable Belarus single-entry fee directly supports use of the F5A route. Purpose, document, carrier and final-admission requirements remain separate.

Belizean ordinary passports: Nigeria tourism eVisa

Nigeria Immigration Service's current F5A tourism route includes Belize, requires online application, and sends the tourism visa certificate by email before travel.

    • Use the standard regular Belizean citizen ePassport, not a temporary, medical-emergency, diplomatic, official, special, refugee or other travel document. Appendix I of Nigeria Immigration Service's current service-level agreement directly lists paid Belizean single-entry, multiple-entry, TWP and STR visa fees. Together with the F5A all-country rule, this establishes that Belize is not among the visa-waiver exceptions.
    • Apply online with the Belizean citizen passport and F5A tourism documents. The visa is single entry, valid for 90 days from issuance, and permits a stay of up to 30 days.
    • The emailed visa certificate is electronic issuance before travel, not online preapproval followed by border issuance. Work, residence, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.

Nigeria Immigration Service's current F5A tourism service routes eligible Brazilian common-passport applicants through electronic issuance and lists Brazil's payable single-entry fee.

    • Use the Brazilian common passport issued to a Brazilian-born or naturalized national, not a diplomatic, official/service, emergency, foreigner or laissez-passer document. F5A is tourism only, single entry and up to 30 days.
    • Apply online, upload documents and pay. The emailed certificate is electronic issuance before travel, not online preapproval followed by border issuance.
    • Although F5A excepts ECOWAS States and countries with visa-waiver agreements, Appendix I expressly assigns Brazil a payable $20 single-entry fee, establishing that this ordinary-passport route is not waived.

Nigeria F5A: paid Appendix I ordinary-passport eVisa cohort

For these named ordinary-passport catalog codes, Nigeria Immigration Service's current F5A tourism eVisa workflow and a paid, unambiguous Appendix I single-entry fee row establish eligibility and electronic issuance before travel.

    • Each listed code was reconciled to an Appendix I country row carrying a nonzero single-entry fee. The unambiguous catalog/table label crosswalks are BS/The Bahamas to Bahamas, CZ/Czechia to Czech Republic, KM/Comoro Islands to Comoros, MO/Macao (SAR China) to Macau S.A.R., PS/Palestinian Territory to Palestine, RU/Russian Federation to Russia, ST/São Tomé and Príncipe to Sao Tome and Principe, TR/Türkiye to Turkey, US/United States to United States of America, and VA/Vatican City to Vatican City (Holy See); the other listed code names match directly. No unlisted or zero/Gratis row is inferred.
    • F5A is a tourism-only, single-entry route. Apply online with the ordinary passport, required documents and fee before travel; the current SLA says the visa certificate is sent by email, which is electronic issuance rather than arrival issuance. It is valid for 90 days from issuance and permits up to 30 days' stay.
    • F5A excludes ECOWAS States and countries with visa-abolition/waiver agreements. The paid Appendix I single-entry rows resolve that exclusion only for this named cohort. Diplomatic, official, service, temporary, refugee, stateless, residence, work, carrier and final-admission treatment are outside this ordinary-passport visitor policy.

Seychellois passports: named advance visitor-visa cohort

Seychelles' July 2025 passport-holder schedule expressly requires these destinations to issue a visa before entry, rather than treating an online form or airport process as the visitor baseline.

    • Applies to the ordinary Seychellois passport short-visitor baseline in the Ministry's current named list.
    • The schedule's wording requires a visa before entry but does not establish an electronic or border-issued route, so this is normalized only as advance visa required.
    • Mission availability, individual grant, document, route, transit, work, residence, diplomatic, official and special-passport treatment remain outside scope.

Cameroonian and Chadian ordinary passports: Nigeria visa-free short visits

Nigeria's current consular visa-services table expressly places Cameroon and Chad under its visa-abolition agreement, each for up to 90 days. This direct agreement classification controls over a fee-table row.

    • The official table gives a maximum visa-free stay of 90 days. Ordinary admission, travel-document, health, security and border-officer requirements remain applicable.
    • The policy is limited to ordinary passports and a short visit. Employment, residence, transit, diplomatic, official, service, refugee and other special-document routes are outside scope.
    • Nigeria's positive F5A fee rows for these countries do not override the direct current visa-abolition classification.

Barbadian ordinary passports: Nigeria F5A tourism eVisa

Barbados' current official travel schedule directly says its nationals require a Nigerian visa. Nigeria's current F5A route provides online, emailed certificate issuance for a non-waived tourist applicant.

    • The Barbadian official schedule confirms that the ordinary Barbadian visitor needs a Nigerian visa; its stated Nigerian High Commission route does not constitute an exemption.
    • For F5A tourism, apply online and receive the visa certificate by email before travel. The general F5A rules limit the stay to 30 days, single entry, within 90 days of issuance.
    • Mission procedures, work, residence, transit, diplomatic, official, service, special-document and final-admission treatment are outside this ordinary visitor baseline.

Kenyan and South African ordinary passports: Nigeria F5A tourism eVisa

Nigeria's current reciprocity table confines the Kenya and South Africa waivers to diplomatic or official documents. Ordinary passports therefore use the current F5A tourism eVisa route, issued electronically before travel.

    • The Kenya and South Africa visa-waiver entries are expressly document-limited; they do not cover an ordinary passport.
    • Apply online under F5A tourism, upload the current required documents and obtain the visa certificate by email before travel. The route is single entry, tourism only, and allows up to 30 days' stay within 90 days of issuance.
    • Work, residence, transit, diplomatic, official, service, special-document and final-admission treatment are outside this ordinary visitor baseline.
