Latvian ordinary passports: Syria electronic visitor visa

Current Latvian MFA guidance says Latvian citizens may arrange Syria's entry visa electronically.

    • The current MFA guidance directs travellers to Syria's electronic visa service and separately warns that an Israeli border-crossing stamp can result in refusal.
    • This excludes work, residence, special documents, operational travel restrictions and final admission.

Turkish ordinary passports: visa-free short visit

Türkiye's current MFA table explicitly records the listed ordinary Turkish passports as visa-free for the stated short visitor scope.

    • Palestinian access is stated visa-free by the destination, but the MFA says Turkish citizens normally need an Israeli visa to reach it; the Egypt-to-Gaza exception is separate.
    • Syria is visa-free according to the MFA table, but ordinary-passport holders pay a border fee on arrival; the fee is not a visa-on-arrival classification.
    • Tunisia and Ukraine are visa-free up to 90 days; Bosnia and Herzegovina is visa-free for no more than 90 days in 180; Panama is visa-free for three months.
    • This does not establish residence, work, special-document, route, security or final-admission treatment.

Canadian ordinary passports: named advance mission visa routes

Government of Canada guidance describes a pre-departure mission-issued visa route for each listed destination, rather than an electronic or border-issued visa.

    • LY: visas are issued only to residents in the application country, after in-person embassy or consulate submission; mail applications are not accepted.
    • SY: non-Arab nationals cannot obtain a visa at border points and must obtain it from a Syrian embassy or consulate before departure. Israeli and certain Egyptian/Jordanian-border stamps can result in denial.
    • This does not classify journalist special permission, business, work, study, residence, transit, special documents, operational restrictions or final admission.
