Official evidence timeline

One group agreement or destination policy can support many passport relationships. Dates are recorded only when an official source establishes them.

  1. eVisa

Hungarian ordinary passports: Chad electronic visitor visa

Chad now permits new ordinary visitor visa applications only electronically through its authenticated eVisa route.

    • Apply electronically at least one week and at most 90 days before travel, with the listed passport, photograph, booking, yellow-fever and invitation or accommodation evidence.
    • Pre-11 May 2026 non-electronic visas remain valid only to expiry; work, residence, special documents and final admission remain separate.

    Hungary

  2. Current official routeVisa-free

Current named ordinary passports: Chad visa-free entry

The live official eVisa service expressly lists these 21 passport issuers as exempt from an entry visa. The CEMAC sources independently corroborate the five foreign CEMAC members within that list; no residual eVisa or visa-required route is inferred.

    • The official eVisa page displays this exact named exemption list. It does not state an ordinary-versus-special-passport distinction, stay period, purpose, effective date, port or underlying bilateral instrument; the ordinary-passport mapping is therefore medium confidence.
    • For Cameroon, the Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and the Central African Republic, current CEMAC material separately confirms visa-free free movement. The Convention describes tourist movement up to three months with a valid/recently-expired national identity card or passport and an international health booklet.
    • The official portal says all new visa applications are online as of 11 May 2026, but a generic application workflow does not prove a route for any unlisted passport. The inaccessible 2025 Official Journal PDF was not relied upon for a residual default.
    • Border, public-health, security, individual-admissibility, work, residence, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, refugee and special-document rules remain separate.
    21 passport nationalities covered

Barbados, Benin, Cameroon, Congo (Rep.), Côte d'Ivoire, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritius, Malaysia, Mali, Micronesia, Niger, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Rwanda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Singapore, Suriname, Togo

  3. Current official routeVisa required

Australian ordinary passports: expressly pre-departure visas

Smartraveller expressly requires these visas before arrival or travel.

    • TM also requires a letter of invitation, even for transit. TD and NE require a visa before arrival/travel.
    • This does not normalize work, residence, special documents, entry-point, security or final-admission requirements.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Australia

  4. Current official routeeVisa

German ordinary passports: named electronic visitor-visa routes

Official guidance identifies an electronic visa issued before travel for the listed German ordinary-passport visitor routes.

    • IQ: federal Iraq ended visa-on-arrival issuance on 1 March 2025 and requires an e-visa before entry; Kurdistan has a distinct e-visa process. CU: the Cuban official tourism portal describes the internet tourist visa replacing the tourist card. GA: the temporary e-visa procedure is only for tourists. GQ: for air entry, an online e-visa is required; land entry requires mission processing. NG: since May 2025 only electronic visas are used, delivered with a QR code by email. TD: the entry visa must be applied for online at least seven days before travel.
    • This excludes separate non-tourist visa categories, route-specific limits, health forms, registration and final admission.

French ordinary passports: named advance visa routes

Current official material establishes advance mission processing or issuance for each listed French ordinary-passport visitor route.

    • AF: single-entry visas are issued by Afghanistan’s Embassy in France. KP: visa available through the DPRK General Delegation in France. LY: visa before arrival. SD: prior visa. SY: Syrian diplomatic or consular representation issues the visa. CG: obtain before departure; no arrival visa. SS: airlines may refuse boarding without a pre-departure visa and France-based applicants use the Paris embassy. CF: the CAR Paris Embassy processes the passport and short-stay application. GQ: no arrival visa and the Paris embassy states required documents. GW: French applications go to the Guinea-Bissau Embassy in Paris; its exceptional Bissau-airport route is not the standard France-resident route. LR: France residents apply through the Liberian Embassy. ML: Mali consulates in Paris or Lyon issue it; no arrival visa. NE: prior visa only; no arrival visa. NG: portal submission is followed by physical dossier submission to OIS Paris for processing. TD: diplomatic or consular mission issuance only; no border visa.
    • This records ordinary French-passport short-visitor routes only and does not normalize travel warnings, operational access, work, residence, special documents or final admission.

    France

  6. Current official routeVisa required

Dutch ordinary passports: expressly pre-departure mission visas

Official Dutch guidance establishes a mission application/issuance route before travel for the listed ordinary Dutch-passport visitor cases.

    • AF: apply at Afghanistan's embassy in The Hague. LR: apply at Liberia's embassy in Brussels. TD: apply at Chad's embassy in Brussels.
    • BD: the Dutch guidance points to the official portal and Bangladesh Embassy in The Hague; Bangladesh's government portal requires an online form to be printed and taken with documents and fees to a Bangladesh mission or visa office, so the online form is not itself an eVisa.
    • This excludes work, residence, transit, special documents and final admission.

Moldovan ordinary passports: named electronic visitor visas

Moldova MFA's current ordinary-passport table records eVisa as the obtaining method for these destinations; Nigeria independently confirms its tourism eVisa is open to citizens of all countries and sent by email.

    • Obtain the electronic visitor visa before departure using the destination portal linked by Moldova MFA. Nigeria's tourism eVisa is specifically available to citizens of all countries and issues a certificate by email.
    • Cuba's listed eVisa route excludes maritime travel, for which Moldova MFA says a diplomatic mission is required. Purpose, duration, availability, closure, carrier checks and final admission remain separate.
    1 passport nationalities covered

Mauritanian ordinary passports: named reciprocal visa-free short visits

Mauritania's current MFA records reciprocal visa-waiver agreements, without a diplomatic/service-only limitation, for Libya, Tunisia, Mali, Niger, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau and Chad.

    • Use a valid Mauritanian ordinary passport. The MFA page expressly limits several other agreements to diplomatic and service passports but does not apply that limitation to these seven named destinations.
    • The MFA list establishes the visa-waiver route only; it does not establish duration, work, residence, transit, entry point, carrier requirements, document-recognition, mission availability or final admission conditions.
    • This conclusion rests on Mauritania's named reciprocal agreements, not on ECOWAS membership or a regional free-movement presumption.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Mauritania

  9. Current official routeVisa required

British citizen passports: specified advance visitor visas

Current FCDO guidance establishes an ordinary British-citizen visitor visa application through the stated embassy or advance process for the listed destinations.

    • KP: tourist travel is normally organised and the visa application is sent directly to the North Korean Embassy; current general-entry restrictions remain material.
    • TD, CG, GW, LR and NE: FCDO directs the British-citizen visitor to the named embassy/consular application route before travel.
    • IR: apply well in advance; a British-passport applicant must use an organised tour or an Iranian sponsor. Kish Island is a distinct travel-agency/approval-before-arrival exception, not a general waiver.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    United Kingdom

  10. Current official routeVisa required

Spanish ordinary passports: Chad advance visitor visa

MAEC says ordinary-passport visa applications must be made online before travel; it does not establish electronic issuance.

    • From 11 May 2026 ordinary-passport applications must be made on Chad’s official website, and visas not processed online no longer permit entry.
    • Online application is not normalized as eVisa issuance; a valid entry visa is required before travel.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Spain

  11. Current official routeVisa required

    • TD: apply to the Chadian Embassy in Brussels. LR: obtain the visa from the Liberian Embassy in Brussels before travel. NE: enter with a visa issued by the Nigerien embassy.
    • Work, residence, diplomatic or service passports, carrier checks and final admission remain separate from this ordinary short-visitor baseline.

Palestinian ordinary passports: 2026 advance-visa visitor cohort

The State of Palestine's current ordinary-passport schedule labels this exact destination cohort "Visa is required" and separately labels electronic and arrival-issued routes elsewhere in the same schedule. It is normalized as advance visa required.

    • This is the Ministry's ordinary-passport short-visitor baseline. The source separately labels eVisa and visa-on-arrival rows, so a bare "Visa is required" row is not recast as either route.
    • Georgia and Panama have separately stated waivers for holders of specified third-country visas. Those conditional document routes are excluded from this passport-only baseline.
    • Mission availability, passport recognition, individual admission, route, transit, work, residence, diplomatic, official, service and other special-document treatment are outside this policy.

    • Sudan: ordinary passports normally receive a one- or two-month visa from Sudan's Embassy in Russia.
    • The listed routes are for ordinary short visits only; work, residence, diplomatic/service passports, route-specific exceptions and final admission remain separate.

Seychellois passports: named advance visitor-visa cohort

Seychelles' July 2025 passport-holder schedule expressly requires these destinations to issue a visa before entry, rather than treating an online form or airport process as the visitor baseline.

    • Applies to the ordinary Seychellois passport short-visitor baseline in the Ministry's current named list.
    • The schedule's wording requires a visa before entry but does not establish an electronic or border-issued route, so this is normalized only as advance visa required.
